I am interested in the development and treatment of high-risk behaviors including aggression, substance use, suicide risk, and delinquency in children and adolescents. In particular, I am interested in processes that lead to risky behaviors such as emotion dysregulation, and protective factors against developing risky behaviors including religion/spirituality, academic goal-setting and performance, as well as the outcomes of community-based interventions to help decrease these behaviors in children and adolescents.
